Mazen Elias Abdallah MDCenter Physician
With a growing number of peer-reviewed published articles and book chapters to his credit, Dr. Abdallah's blend of clinical and research expertise compliments the Center's long history of clinical firsts and trademark compassionate care.
Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Abdallah completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit Medical Center. He followed his residency with a fellowship at Wayne State University in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. He is a graduate of the American University of Beirut School of Medicine in Beirut, Lebanon.
At Wayne State, Dr. Abdallah was executive chief resident for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology where he also received the Outstanding Junior Faculty Award and an Award for Excellence in undergraduate teaching. In addition, he received the annual Award for Excellence in Academic Achievement and the Award for Excellence in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Dr. Abdallah's professional excellence is further exemplified by a number of research awards and selection as an ad hoc editorial reviewer for Fertility and Sterility. He also has given oral and poster presentations to such national organizations as the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the prestigious Society for Gynecologic Investigation and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopy.
Dr. Abdallah's rich research history will continue to advance the Center's reputation as the area's most experienced infertility care provider with a compassionate approach. His areas of focus include infertility, assisted reproductive technology, improved oocyte freezing methods and fertility preservation. He also has special interests in advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery.
